Finally after a 3 day journey we have made it to Loas 🎉

Luang Prabang is a beautiful city, full of smiling people and we've only made it as far as our little guesthouse. 

Our guesthouse is run by a little old couple who are so cute and kind, we lucked out so far

Time to hit the town, after Natalie has a nap 😑😑

​ Oh sweet, sweet Sicilia.  I’m not sure what happened but along the ferry from Italy to Sicily, I lost my favourite hat and gained a new sense of adventure.   When I first started my trip, I was gentle! I eased myself into the trip like lowering into a hot bath, the terrain accommodated and I dipped my toe in the waters of cooking for myself, staying in campsites and hotels, checking google maps and komoot   *excessively* but now I am totally submerged in the trip (and this weird bathtub metaphor). Bikepacking Roma to Naples 🚲

 Ciao Bella!  📍from the windy beach below the rocky cone shaped mountains of Formia, Italy .  Every single day has felt like a grand adventure filled with characters, fear, elation and a new place to lay my head each night, but T oday is a much needed rest day. What was supposed to be a few days in Rome and a three day bike trip from Rome to Naples, turned into a week in Rome and what will  probably end up taking me about five days to the arrive to the stradones of Naples.  Mostly due to bike mechanical issues but I am also nursing my cocktail of my friend Taylor‘s parting gift of a seasonal cold mixed with heavy dose of jet leg.  The jet leg made being in Rome feel like being in a waking dream. Naples(ugh) to Sorrento(ah)

My experience of 15hrs in Naples:  -Biking in, total chaos, madness, cobblestone, and fury.  -Couldn’t find a slice of ‘Za after hours of biking at 5pm. Devastatingly walking the streets.  -Somebody tried to steal my backpack OFF of my back.  -I ate a stale oat cookie from my backpack to get my blood sugar up and a man cornered me demanding a high-five, whom I had to push past to leave the situation.  - After everything, I came back to my hostel,    I layed my head on my pillow reading “Irma Voth” on my cellphone and the light of my phone illuminated not one, not three, but five Bedbugs on my pillow.   I left Naples the next morning. Thinking, it would be easier to throw everything I own in a dryer in a town outside of this godforsaken city where my bike was bound to be stolen at any second.
