On to the next one

Today we are leaving Siem Riep at 7 to Sanoukville and going island hopping from there, as much as I loved this city I am STOKED for some ocean living!

We spent the morning going for a swim in the pool and then cleaning up our room and re-packing our bags ( it was really refreshing not living out of a bag for a few days.)

Our plan was to return to the temples but the power went out last night due to the crazy storm and our phones were dead and didn't wake us, but it worked out because Ciroque our tuktuk drivers tire went flat anyways. So instead we went to the Cambodian War Museum and the Killing Field.

It was really educational, I had no idea Cambodia was in war for 30 years. The communist "hitler" Pol Pot killed over 3 million  Cambodian people for the sole purpose of them being Cambodian and he wanted it to be a Chinese nation. The best part of the museum was that our guide was an actual war veteran, he served for 10 years but spent 9 in hospital he says laughing. And that everybody calls him a cat because he has died over 10 times, the amount of metal that man had in his body was shocking. He was also missing a leg and an eye, he had a great sense of humour despite everything he's been through.

For the killing field our TukTuk guy was our guide, and we spent a long time talking and learning about Monks and their culture, his father was a Monk and wanted him to be one as well but he said no. I hope we don't find a TukTuk guy who I like so much again, saying goodbye to him was hard!

But we are done with the cities and ready for the bitches, I mean beaches
