Point A to B and everything in Between

Since I was slacking and haven't made a blog post in awhile, this is going to be a longer one to make up for it, plus we did a lot of cool things worth sharing.

I for one think we killed it in Kuala Lumpur, we were there for 2 days only
and squeezed a lot of fun stuff in. The staff at La Paloma were so helpful and told us what was the best to see and how to do it. We navigated our way by foot and even by train around the city, which you should know is a pretty big deal as Natalie and I are both directionly challenged. On the second day we went to the National Mosque, there actually wasn't much to see there and even though we were dressed in baggy clothing they still made you dress in head to toe robes, which turned out to be our favourite part.

And yeah.. We got massages at the
national mosque.

We walked to the Orchid Garden afterwards, it was beautiful. It reminded Natalie of her mom and I of my
grandma, we both wished they could have been there to truly admire it. We
Spent a few hours just hanging out here.

Then it was the perfect time to hit up
China town. Which wasn't anything too
special, it was full of vendors selling purses and sunglasses and the amount of junkies around was pretty sad to see. BUT the food was incredible! I got Indian food and it was the best tandoori chicken I have ever had in my life, Natalie got a Chinese/Malaysian hot dish that was equally mouth watering.

Definetly went to bed full and happy that night. The next day we woke up early
enough for the breakfast.. Which was naan and curry, maybe not the best thing after a night of the ground breaking Indian food, but who am I to complain of free food? I was sad to say goodbye to the staff they were so kind and even asked me to sign the wall of their favourite visitors. Our self proclaimed "sexy driver" drove us to the aiport and we had a pretty smooth flight to Denpasar. Even with the ear infection.

From Denpasar we went straight to Ubud. The entire way there the sky was full of kites. Massive and colourful, so many so that I asked the driver if there was a kite festival and he just told me no no, at sunset many people fly them for fun. They put the kite that grandpa and I used to fly as a kid to shame.  So far all the rumours about Ubud are true, it's a great little place full of culture and character. Today we went to the monkey forest, my favorite part was that Natalie is terrified of monkeys. Like
Petrified, her face the entire time was halarious. She wouldn't look any of them in the eyes are get any closer than necessary to them, even the babies who are sooooo cute.

Then we just walked around got some homemade ice cream and went back to our beautiful guesthouse which is right in the forest & beside a river. We hung out and got some much needed work done even. (Still searching for the perfect volunteer spot blah.) After that we went to a hookah restaurant and had our first Bintang, the best beer choice in Asia, and made some friends.

I actually surprised myself and went up and played guitar and sang in the restaurant. First time doing that in such a public place. I have horrible stage fright but i hope I keep pushing myself and doing it, it's really not as scary as I thought. I can't believe it's Natalie and i's last week together either. These past few months have gone by to fast. The amount of memories and adventures we have had together will be some we
Never forget. I already miss her so much.
