Bye bye birdy, I mean Bali

Well today's the last day in Bali, feels like I've been here forever now. Unfortunately,  I've spent my last two days in Kuta/Semyniak but it's been a lot more fun this time around. I met up with my friend I made in Balagang beach and we had a last day together before her going to back to Europe. She also was with with 7 other German people and they were all super nice, and now I can speak fluent German. More like 4 words but you get the point. I'm even rooming with one of them now!

Danny and Sammy are on their way and I am stoooooooked to see them! And go on a new adventure elsewhere in Indo! 
The airport is craaaazy right now due to the volcanoe smoke, and people have been stranded here and sleeping at the airport for multiple days. I also heard that Australians have it worse and some can't get a flight until the 3rd of August which is absurd. So I have my fingers crossed hoping everything goes smoothly and I'll be Waitting at the airport for them amongst the chaos. Wish us luck xx

Kyushu, we lava yu.

Like I've mentioned before, we have really tried on this trip to take it easy and not squeeze every last place in. We have visited the main island Honshu, Shikoku, and now Kyushu. Kyushu we decided to go to because it warms up first, and seems to have plenty of off the beaten track spots. Or maybe its off the beaten path in low season time. Either way, often we never saw another obvious tourists and that is always a little cool. We decided that our last two weeks were going to be in cities. So we immersed ourselves in nature. With one day checking out Mount Aso, and active volcano that was actually letting out a dangerous amount of sulphur at the time we visited. So unfortunately,  we couldn't hike it. Since 2009, the town  has just re-opened for the first time in February of this year, so we were thankful for what we got! I have been blown away by the diversity of Japan.
