No church in the wild.

We had two days of total relaxation in the little town of Riung. Spent them on a boat visiting a few of the 17 islands off the pier of the town, we snorkeld, had fresh fish lunches and just layed on the beach trying to go from vanilla to chocolaté. On the second day we went to the island of flying foxes. It was full of the worlds biggest bats, and it was a crazy sight, they were massive and making the freakiest noises. Any bat haters prepare yourself for these pictures..

Our boat captains, Alex on the left and no name because he spoke no English.

Ever since I can remember, Sammy so easily sleeps on boats.

Gorgeous.

I love when uncle Danny has this look on his face.

The colour of the water aaaahhh!!! So clear

First thing we saw coming up to the bat island...

No name aka bat man..

Really really wish I could upload the video to show you the freaky sound of these things.

Sleeping.

There wasn't much to the town, only three restaurants total. One of them, which I would say was our favourite had a pet monkey who was my baby, he was really cute and loved to cuddle and eat ketchup. They had no set menu, you eat the delicious fresh fish they caught daily
and the vibes were really great too.

Then we went on a long drive to the next stop, Kelimutu. We went to the local waterfall, and hot springs, but of course the main attraction is the Valcanoe. We woke up early 3:59 am, to go and climb it before the sun rises. Walking up in pitch black darkness you don't really know what to expect or what you're getting yourself into. It wasn't a hard hike it only took half an hour, and when the light finally woke up and light the sky it was in one very cliché but well deserved word: breathtaking. I know I'm only 19 and haven't seen all that much yet, but it was one of the top 5 most beautiful things k have ever seen. There are three lakes that supposedly changes colours throughout the year, but for our viewing pleasure there was a black lake, one that was a light blue and one turquoise. And as the sun rose up more and more so did the beauty. Everybody there had a smile on their face and a camera in their hand.
On the way down you get to enjoy the lush jungle and crazy bird cries.

No this is not animated.

The clouds aka heaven rolling through

The black lake. The un loved cousin of the three lakes

The climb up.

HOW CUTE IS HE.

And now we our on our way to the last stop Maumere, with the Valcanoe hike feeling like a dream. Also, I really really messed up and didn't extend my visa.. So I will be figuring that out and paying a nice large sum for my stupidity.
