Slowly Drifting 🕡
Well time is tickling slowly as well as too fast all at once. Yoshi and i have an estimated 8 days before we are outta here! I am so excited to start new adventures again, and see Australia of course. I have been getting myself ready the last week, lightly packing, sorting through all i need to bring, i mean not like that's a very hard and lengthy task all i have is a backpack full of things to my name. Yoshi has a bit longer of a list than me, hes been fixing up the x-trail to top condition, selling furniture, quitting jobs and leaving it all behind for the road! The plan as of now is to fruit pick for maybe three months, and save money. We already have a few different positions on various farms, but we are going with the Cherry fruit picking job in a middle of nowhere place that goes by the name of Hillston. Probably will not be hard to save money as all we would be buying is food and beer, living out of the car and camping is a cheap lifestyle. Then after we have saved up some fat stacks we are going to road trip around Australia! Seeing as much as we want and can, the only things i am worried about are brown snakes which are lethal, where and how showering will be possible, and last but not least driving the car... Jake has been giving me driving lessons the last few days. He is an extremely patient and brave teacher, but the round a bouts will take getting used too and still maybe 7 out of 10 times i flick on the window wipers instead of the indicator because my brain is not in favor of opposite day with the driving system down under. If i crash the car i crash our home and hopes and dreams so i need to practice, practice, practice!!!
The weather is just getting hotter and hotter here for sure! A little bit of rain, and i am officially missing Autumn, probably my favorite season in Canada, I just had to buy a pumpkin yesterday and the man at Woolworths started to explain to me how to carve a pumpkin and i cut him short and said "Look man, i'm Canadian i got this." and he was very apologetic and said he missed the accent, I should probably state for the record that Halloween is just not a celebrated holiday here and nobody cares about it especially not enough to carve pumpkins, I know have gone pumpkin crazy and because i spent 20 dollars on the damn thing decided to utilize every penny and roasted the seeds, made roast vegetables including pumpkin, and also made a pumpkin pie. I'm starting to wonder if my room mates thing i am trying to fatten them up because of all the baking i have done in the last three weeks... I think its mostly boredom. As both of my mini jobs have come to term and i have been doing weird things to fill the spaces and some fun things too. Been spending lots of time with Linden, and time in Byron Bay, I'm going to miss these guys when the time comes to leave :(
There's this cool allyway in Lismore that is completely covered in beautiful graffiti, Linden and I went exploring and photographing there the other day!
A water hole we went swimming at!
If you look closely you can see Linden flipping off a rope into the water!
And last but not least, in honour of my
The list of things on my burger....
