Wake him up, it's October!
I am sitting myself down and dedicating some time to a much needed blog update.Unfortnetly for me, I have been putting off for so long I don't know exactly where to even begin and currently and probably for another month my life really isn't that thrilling but here's what's going on anyways:
Yoshi cuddling the pup we have gotten the pleasure of doggy sitting a few times, he is seriously so dumb but we love him
It is officially Bonnie's and I last week of
Sprouts! Every single week was a different struggle. One week we over watered, the next week it rained so much that we had to be careful of moulding greens, the next the sprouts over heated and parished. Ladi dee da and etc, It's been a learning process to say the least, but I think we both really enjoyed it, and as i predicted the week Carol gets back we are going to nail it and have a perfect crop. So far our Wednesday crop this week (the one we deliver to the shops) was insanely bountiful and we had 28 kilos, helloooooo sprouts!! 🌱🌱 the market is still my favourite part of the process, but I think Carols costumers are ready for the Queen to return and deliver the goods, she has many loyal and a few very... odd costumers.
I have also gotten a bit more work at the café, it's an interesting job to say the least. Bonnie used to work with the new owners on a passion fruit picking farm and they asked her to come work for them as they have taken over a cafe/restaurant on what can easily be one of the most beautiful locations in the area. But because it's such a new businesses they don't really know what they are doing and need and I actually
Can't really say what my job there is, I do just a million odd little things after another that they ask me to do, such as picking mulberrys with her son to taking orders and clearing tables to labelling jam jars (they were pretty impressed with my prestine labelling thanks to the exprience from the Chocolate shop, man I miss that job more and more!) Yoshi also works there, the most out of any of us as Matt has taken him on as a chef and he is the glue holding them together. They also complain about not having skilled
Staff but don't take the time to teach any of the staff the required skills they want and need from us... It makes us as employees feel pretty useless sometimes. But at the end of the day a jobs a job, and I'll do the best I can offer!
And on that topic of jobs, the plan Yoshi and I have is after the festival we are heading to at the end of the month, we are going to go travelling around Australia
And fruit pick for a few months, the only issue is that everything we want to see and do won't fit in before Christmas to make the grand return to Canada Most likely.. And that.. Really sucks. As Christmas is a pretty big deal for me to spend time with family and even in a snowy place for that matter and vice versa for my familia. It's a really
Tough decision.
Other than the jobs/money's situation that takes up 65% of my brain time right now. I've been spending quite a fair bit
of time reading and writing. The gang and I have started to play squash together which is as the Aussies say "fun as." The other day we ordered our groceries online from Woolworths and had a mini Christmas in our kitchen, and I have to say we eat some pretty damn tasty dinners. It's awesome that we all take turns and help eachother out, get some creative flavours happening in our bellies. I've also gotten to do a bit more touristy things like hikes and treks and going to some more beach towns. But the nomad inside of me is starting to itch and I'm excited and getting ready to explore more of what Australia has to offer! I also sullemley swear to keep on top of my blog again, and deliver the goods to my dedicated followers.
Picture from a day of trekking and hiking, coincidentally yoshis and I 1⃣ month. Good way to spend it.
And warmer here the Canadian girl at heart is feeling the fall vibes and I had to make at least one batch of pumpkin muffins for my house mates.

Marlons gorgeous backyard in Nimbim. His parents were away for a few weeks and we went and visited a friend we knew from Fernie as well as picked some fresh herbs from his moms garden on a misty rainy typical nimbin day.
Hey Hannah! I've been waiting for an update and here it is ! Great to hear that you are enjoying Australia and the people( one special one, it looks like❤️!)
