weeders to winners
Well well well, we made it through the horrible chipping weeds phase. It undeniably had its up and downs, some days we worked in almost 40 heat and other days it was so cold we had two hoodies on. Living out of a car while working was extremely testing on ones patience. Waking up at 5 am and heading to work and finish up around 4, showering at the disgusting hostel, and then going to buy food, cook dinner and clean up and go to bed. Repeat that for two weeks and a half and that was our life! But we made some great friends and good money so in the end its worth all the blood, sweat and tears, which i mean literally. I somehow managed to sprain my hand while on the job and got a massive blood blister on my foot from playing shoeless basketball, which Kagome ( The company we worked for) took very seriously and send the head huncho boss to come pop it for me.. company protocol i guess to blow everything out of proportion. Echuca, the town we were working in did not have too much to offer either, which is fine when your sole purpose of being there is to work. On the topic of the job its self, we found out that the man who owns the hostel who technically we got the job through, gets two dollars off of every hour of everybody's pay working for Kagome and Yoshi and i did the math.. little millionaire has got himself a goldmine, although he is pretty money hungry. You think he could put a few bucks into the hostel for the 80 people living there.
After pumping the music and happily driving away, leaving the weeds behind us, we made our way to Melbourne (finally). And FINALLY have been reunited with Kelsey ford! She gave me all the letters and gifts from friends and family and the amount of love i felt that day was such a wonderful feeling. Thank you all so much, i am so lucky. I need to make some facetime calls while i can staying in a normal house with normal wifi while i can! Sleeping in a normal bed for a week is just, wow.
We have been taking things pretty easy which is nice, we have a long time to go out and about and explore while here and don't need to pack all the action we can into one day. Yoshi already has gotten one tattoo and has two more booked of course, and him and Ollie his best friend since pre-k that we are living with (funny how we both met up with our longest friends at the same time) have been going to iconic skate spots every night.
beautiful best friend :)
we went out for a fancy breakfast at a restaurant by the name of Kettle Black, it was amazing and very well priced. I got coconut soaked chia seeds on maple syrup with macadamia nuts and fresh fruit, i couldn't even eat half it was so sweet but so so good.
The street you walk out onto after the graffiti lane, all decorated for christmas which for the record it doesnt feel like december or christmas because its HOT and my body and mind dont understand whats going on.
While walking down the lane you could hear beautiful flamenco music filling the streets and it was all thanks to these old rockers. It gave the whole walk a very dreamy feel.

And we ended the day by going to the gingerbread exhibit at town hall. There must have have almost a years worth of work gone into that display, the detail was incredible. I think the mini kebab shop was the winner of my heart, it was so so cute.

City skapes
we checked out hosier lane, were the graffiti changes every week. Some pretty fun stuff, really cool how it was directly in the heart of the city along side business orientated streets.
